Yerevan, London hold defence strategic consultations PHOTO
On November 28, the sixth round of Armenia-UK defence strategic consultations were held in London.
The Armenian delegation was led by Levon Ayvazyan, Director of the Defence Policy and International Cooperation Department at the Ministry of Defence. Armenian Ambassador to Great Britain and Northern Ireland Varuzhan Nersesyan attended the event, Caliber.Az reports citing the Armenian defense ministry.
Issues related to bilateral cooperation in regional and international security and defence areas were discussed.
Levon Ayvazyan provided an insight into the security situation around Armenia and the Armenian side's steps aimed at regional peace and stability, including the Crossroads of Peace project.
The sides discussed in detail the current state and prospects of the bilateral military cooperation and underlined the significant cooperation potential in a number of new areas and readiness to implement the reached agreements.
Following the consultations, a program of Armenian-British cooperation in the field of defence for 2023-2024 was signed.
