Yerevan says Armenia-EU strategic agenda contributes to regional peace
Armenian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ani Badalyan has stated that the “Strategic Agenda for the Armenia-EU partnership” contributes to efforts aimed at consolidating peace in the region.
“The Strategic Agenda of the Armenia-EU partnership reflects not only the European aspirations of the citizens of the Republic of Armenia, but also the European Union's commitment to supporting the country's sovereignty, territorial integrity, democracy, and socio-economic stability,” Caliber.Az reports, citing Armenian media.
“It is clear that all of this contributes to further efforts aimed at strengthening peace in the region,” she added.
Caliber.Az recalls that on December 9, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry commented on the “Strategic Agenda for the EU-Armenia Partnership” document, signed following the sixth meeting of the EU-Armenia Partnership Council on December 2 in Brussels, expressing concern about the prioritisation of a number of issues that contradict the peace agenda with Azerbaijan.
