Zakharova advises British journalists to "pack their bags" In response to London's sanctions
The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, on "Solovyov Live" programme said about the possibility of retaliatory measures to be taken against British journalists in response to the inclusion of VGTRK and other Russian media in the sanctions lists, RIA Novosti reports.
During the programme, the official was asked whether it was time for British journalists to "pack their bags" due to the fact that UK imposed sanctions against VGTRK.
"It's about time," Zakharova said.
She added that the Russian side was "very patient."
The UK government has expanded the sanctions list by adding employees of Komsomolskaya Pravda, VGTRK, Channel One, and Irish journalist Brian McDonald, who works for RT.
Restrictions have also been imposed on a number of senators, Deputy Defense Minister Nikolai Pankov and the head of Rostec, Sergey Chemezov. In addition, the updated list included Kamaz PJSC, Izhmash – Unmanned Systems LLC and MIPT.
