Zangazur Corridor to become key transport link in Eurasia, Azerbaijan's Speaker says
The Zangezur Corridor will serve as an important transport connection in Eurasia, fostering cooperation and progress in the region, Speaker of Azerbaijan's Milli Majlis (Parliament) Sahiba Gafarova, has said.
She made the remarks at the third trilateral meeting of the parliaments of Azerbaijan, Pakistan, and Türkiye in Islamabad, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
Gafarova said that one of the main outcomes of the Washington meeting between the leaders of the U.S., Azerbaijan, and Armenia on August 8 was the agreement to open the Zangezur Corridor, an initiative launched by President Ilham Aliyev.
“With the implementation of the ‘Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity’ (TRIPP), the Zangezur Corridor will become a key transport link in Eurasia and will promote cooperation and progress in our region,” Gafarova stated.
She emphasised that these achievements are primarily the result of President Ilham Aliyev’s peaceful diplomacy and efforts aimed at security, cooperation, and regional development.
