Zelenskyy calls on China, Hungary to respond after deadly Russian strike in Kyiv VIDEO
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has issued a direct appeal to China and Hungary, urging them to respond to the latest Russian missile and drone attack that struck a residential area in Kyiv. The assault killed at least eight people, including a child, and left dozens wounded.
“We expect a reaction from China to what is going on. China has repeatedly called for not expanding the war and for a ceasefire. Yet this is not happening because of Russia," Zelenskyy wrote in a post on X, Caliber.Az reports.

Similarly, the Ukrainian president said that a reaction was expected from Hungary.
"The death of children should definitely stir far greater emotions than anything else," he wrote.
Zelenskyy’s comments come in the wake of another large-scale Russian strike targeting Ukrainian cities and communities. In Kyiv, first responders were seen clearing the rubble of an ordinary residential building hit during the attack.
“Killings again. Tragically, at least 8 people have already been confirmed dead. One of them is a child,” he wrote. “My condolences to all their families and loved ones.”
The Ukrainian president emphasised that more victims may still be trapped under the debris and that the number of wounded continues to rise.
Zelenskyy framed the latest assault as a response to international calls for diplomacy and a ceasefire.
“These Russian missiles and attack drones today are a clear response to everyone in the world who, for weeks and months, has been calling for a ceasefire and for real diplomacy,” he said. “Russia chooses ballistics instead of the negotiating table. It chooses to continue killing instead of ending the war.”
In a sharp rebuke of what he sees as global inaction, Zelenskyy added, “Russia still does not fear the consequences. Russia still takes advantage of the fact that at least part of the world turns a blind eye to murdered children and seeks excuses for Putin.”
He concluded his statement with a renewed call for sanctions: “It is definitely time for new, tough sanctions against Russia for everything it is doing. All deadlines have already been broken, dozens of opportunities for diplomacy ruined. Russia must feel accountable for every strike, for every day of this war.”
“Eternal memory to all victims of Russia,” he wrote.
