Ukrainian president holds strategic talks with top security service commanders
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has conducted a series of meetings with senior officials and officers of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), focusing on the agency’s operational performance and future priorities.
Zelenskyy shared details of the meetings on his Telegram channel, Caliber.Az reports.
The president reported meeting with SBU Colonel Vasyl Kozak, one of the officers involved in the planning and execution of key military operations. In recognition of his combat achievements, Kozak was awarded the title of Hero of Ukraine. During their discussion, the sides addressed the current capabilities of the SBU and explored ways to further strengthen the protection of the state, as well as Ukraine’s sovereignty and independence.
Zelenskyy also held talks with SBU Major General Oleksandr Poklad. The president noted that the service has significantly reinforced its efforts to safeguard Ukrainian statehood and enhance counterintelligence activities. He emphasized that these areas will continue to be developed, adding that the meeting included discussions of specific tasks and operations aimed at increasing pressure on Russian forces.
In addition, Zelenskyy met with SBU Brigadier General Denis Kilimnik, who holds the position of First Deputy Head of the Special Operations Centre "a".
Kilimnik was awarded the title of Hero of Ukraine last summer for organizing a number of high-impact operations against the Russian side. Their meeting focused on assessing the results of the SBU’s work throughout the years of the war and identifying potential directions for the service’s further development.
