Finland investigates over 100 cases of sanctioned goods shipments to Russia
27 September 2022 12:42
Finland's Customs Department conducts about 250 inspections of vehicles carrying promotional goods, with 120 cases being transferred to the investigation stage.
"We formed our risk analysis related to the flow of goods in such a way that the application of EU sanctions against Russia is pragmatic and effective," Gazeta.Ru reports quoting Sami Rakshita, head of the Customs Enforcement Department.
It should be noted that since the European Union imposed sanctions on Russia, 16,000 customs declarations for the supply of goods to the Russian Federation have been completed, of which 1,000 have been targeted for control by Finnish customs.
