Russia-Georgia trade turnover increases by 50% in 2022

    REGION  06 February 2023 - 20:35

The trade turnover between Russia and Georgia increased by 50% in 2022, to 2.5 billion.

This was reported to TASS by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) of the Russian Federation.

“Also, a Russian-Georgian business council has been created at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, which will coordinate the efforts of Russian entrepreneurs to enter the Georgian market,” said Vladimir Padalko, Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

According to him, in the absence of dialogue with Georgia at the government level, the council will help to establish contacts with business. This, in turn, will help strengthen contacts between partners in the two countries.
