Azerbaijan, Georgia to launch joint customs, border checkpoints
Azerbaijan and Georgia are working on the creation of joint customs and border checkpoints.
The statement came on March 15 from the head of the Georgian Revenue Service Levan Kakava at a multilateral meeting held in Baku on the project to simplify the transit customs procedure (Data pipeline) on the principle of a "single window" along the Trans-Caspian international transport route East-West, Report informs.
He called on international donors to support this project.
“The Russian-Ukrainian war led to a change in the route of transportation of goods to the South. In this regard, the Middle Corridor is of particular importance. I believe that international donors will support the construction of a customs and border checkpoint, which we want to create together with Azerbaijan,” Kakava said.
