AZPROMO, Belgian ambassador discuss boosting trade, investment ties
Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Agenc’s (AZPROMO) Executive Director Yusif Abdullayev met with Belgian Ambassador to Baku Julien de Fraipont to discuss strengthening trade and economic ties between the two countries.
Abdullayev briefed the Ambassador on AZPROMO's activities, highlighting the agency's "single window" function designed to support local entrepreneurs. He also provided details on the export promotion mechanisms, including the "Made in Azerbaijan" brand, as well as the logistics subsidy mechanism that is awaiting approval, Caliber.Az reports via the agency.
Ambassador de Fraipont expressed his appreciation for the growing potential of bilateral cooperation, particularly in non-oil sectors such as investment, pharmaceuticals, and transport and logistics. He emphasised the importance of expanding mutual trade and noted the prospects for increased collaboration.
Furthermore, the ambassador shared that he had visited infrastructure projects in Karabakh and expressed interest in the involvement of Belgian companies in these initiatives, indicating opportunities for further economic engagement in the region.
