Agrarian sector grows by over 3% in Azerbaijan

Azerbaijan produced agricultural products worth 895.6 million manats ($526.8 million) from January through February 2023 which is 3.3 per cent more than in the same period of 2022.

The cost of plant products increased by 1.9 per cent - up to 46.4 million manats ($27.2 million), while the cost of livestock products - by 3.4 per cent, up to 849.2 million manats ($499.5 million) in Azerbaijan over the past year, Report informs citing the Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee.

Some 90,400 tons of meat, including poultry, 322,300 tons of milk, and 355.6 million eggs were produced and meat production increased by 2.8 per cent, milk - by 1.1 per cent, and eggs - by 16.1 per cent from January through February 2023 compared to the same period of 2022.
