Russia-China alliance poses real problem for West, says former US official

The formation of a Russia-China alliance poses a real problem for the West, one more serious than the conflict in Ukraine.

The former US Assistant to the President for National Security John Bolton made the remarks in an interview with The Telegraph.

"Both China and Russia say it's an alliance without borders, and I think they mean it. That's the real problem for the West no matter what happens in Ukraine," Bolton said.

He said an axis of Russia and China will form, with Iran and North Korea joining in, adding that the United States needs to take this issue seriously.
