Minister: Türkiye to continue fighting terrorism

    REGION  26 March 2023 - 17:49

Turkish National Defence Minister Hulusi Akar has said that Türkiye will continue fighting terrorism.

Akar made the remarks during a video conference with border guard commanders, according to CNN Turk.

He said intelligence received and statements by "leaders" of terrorist groups give reason to say that no new members are joining terrorist organizations: "And also the number of estranged, fleeing terrorist groups is quite high."

Akar said Türkiye will continue its fight against terror until the last terrorist is neutralised: "They have no choice but to surrender to justice. Despite someone supporting the terrorists, we will continue our fight. I hope we will save our nation from terror".
