Support block of Azeri-Central-East platform launched to sea

Azeri-Central-East (ACE) platform support block loaded on an STB-1 barge owned by “Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping” CJSC (ASCO) was successfully launched to the sea. 

APA reports citing ASCO that Azeri-Central-East (ACE) platform support block built at “Baku Deep Water Jackets Factory named after Heydar Aliyev” (BDWJF) was dispatched to the sea on March 16, 2023.

Last year the necessary work was done to modify the barge "STB-1" for operation in the "Azeri-Central-East" project. The certification of the barge has been updated to the required level.

"STB-1", considered to be the largest barge in the Caspian Sea, is 163 meters long, 45 meters wide, and has a lifting capacity of 18 thousand tons.
