King Charles blames Russia for "returning trouble to Europe"

King Charles III says the Russian invasion of Ukraine "threatens the security of Europe".

His comments were made during a historic address to the German Bundestag on March 30, according to Euronews.

He noted that the war of conquest unleashed by Russia against Ukraine has once again returned trouble to Europe, which brings incredible suffering to many innocent people.

“The security of Europe, as well as our democratic values, are under threat. But the world did not stand aside ... we can draw courage from our unity,” the king said.

The visit of Charles III to Germany was his first trip abroad as king. In Germany, the British monarch also met with Chancellor Olaf Scholz and thanked him for his support of Ukraine.
