Ambassadori luxury hotel catches fire in Tbilisi

Fire broke out on Friday night on the upper floors of the Ambassadori, one of the most fashionable hotels in Tbilisi, which is located in the historic part of the city.
In close proximity to the burning hotel are the Gabriadze Puppet Theatre and the capital's most ancient temple, Anchiskhati, Novosti Georgia reports.
Fire brigades were mobilized on the spot. Some people from the upper floors were evacuated with ladders, some jumped down on their own.
Emergencies Service reported that the fire in the Ambassadori hotel building is localized. Rescue units are still working at the scene, eliminating the sources of fire. According to preliminary data, there are no injuries.
