Ukraine denies information about destruction of AFU's Bayraktar fleet
The Russian Armed Forces have claimed the "destruction" of the Ukraine army's Bayraktar fleet.
This, however, is yet another lie used by Russian propagandists, the Centre for Strategic Communications and Information Security of Ukraine has said, RBC-Ukraine reported.
"The Russian army has completely 'destroyed' the Bayraktar fleet of Turkish strike drones in Ukraine. This was reported by Russian propagandists citing the US publication Business Insider," the report said.
According to the Centre for Strategic Communications, the original article said that Bayraktar TB2 drones were heralded as Ukraine's saviors in the first months of the Russian-Ukrainian war, but a year later it is believed that almost all of them were shot down by the Russians.
Further in the same piece, Bendett, an analyst and expert on unmanned and robotic military systems at the Centre for Naval Research, denies this view and argues that Ukraine continues to use these drones, but for reconnaissance and surveillance, not for attack.
Also, National Security and Defence Council Secretary Oleksiy Danilov said that Ukraine has Bayraktar and the Defence Forces use them, just less talked about now.
