European human rights activists catch anti-Azerbaijani lobbyists lying
A clear answer from Brussels

Anti-Azerbaijani hysteria continues in Europe. From there, recently there has been an endless stream of accusations against Azerbaijan of so-called “ethnic cleansing”, hypocritical calls to “preserve the Armenian cultural heritage” in the liberated territories, and other unfounded claims and demands against our country. France is acting especially violently, which, through the efforts of Macron and his government, is at the forefront of a campaign of slander and a policy of double standards towards Azerbaijan.
Recently, the organization “European Center for Law and Justice” joined the false and slanderous statements of European officials, deputies, and officials of a number of European countries, which demanded no more or less to suspend Azerbaijan’s membership in the Council of Europe.
However, this “initiative” received an unexpected response from the capital of the European Union, Brussels. Despite the dominance of the Armenian lobby, Islamophobia, and Turkophobia reigning in the high offices of the EU, there were still genuine human rights activists who exposed another attempt to slander and “punish” Azerbaijan. This organization was CAP Freedom of Conscience, a secular European non-governmental organization with UN consultative status, established in 1995, dedicated to protecting the rights to freedom of religion or belief. It was this human rights organization that initiated the “Human Rights Awareness Campaign in Karabakh” in response to a petition demanding the suspension of Azerbaijan’s membership in the Council of Europe. On social network X, human rights activists analyzed the anti-Azerbaijani petition of the European Center for Law and Justice and convicted the authors of this so-called “document” of lies.
“The organization, ironically called the European Center for Law and Justice, initiated a petition demanding the suspension of Azerbaijan’s membership in the Council of Europe on the same grounds on which Russia’s membership was suspended,” says a briefing analysis of European human rights activists. They stressed that the demand of this “European Center for Rights and Justice” is unfair and based on lies.
“Azerbaijan acted on its territory and in accordance with international law. A useful reminder: the self-proclaimed regime in Nagorno-Karabakh has not been recognized by any country in the world, including Armenia.
Azerbaijan's operation was directed against armed groups that were a factor of instability in the region. From the point of view of international law, armed groups of a non-existent entity are considered illegal. The disarmament of these formations was also accepted by Armenia in the ceasefire agreement of November 10, 2020.
The operation lasted less than a day. Visual data confirmed the presence in Karabakh of hundreds of pieces of heavy equipment, artillery and air defense systems, millions of ammunition, and dozens of fortified areas. At the same time, the UN mission, which visited the region twice, reported that there was no destruction of any civilian infrastructure. Thus, the operation was aimed exclusively at the military infrastructure of illegal armed groups,” says the CAP-LC analysis.
As we see, true human rights activists gave a comprehensive response to yet another provocation by yet another European organization, clearly biased by the Armenian side. This fact gives reason to believe that the fair voice of Azerbaijan is still heard in Europe, that more and more people are learning the truth about the anti-terrorist measures carried out by our army against the hotbed of separatism on its territory, that despite the efforts of the Armenian diaspora and European officials corrupted by it, in the Old World there are still those who trust reliable information and not the fairy tales of Yerevan and its patrons. This once again demonstrates that the efforts of the authorities, diplomats, and civil society of Azerbaijan to convey the truth to the world, and in particular the European, public are bearing fruit. This work should be continued in order to nullify the efforts of slanderers and hypocrites from European capitals.
