Masdar explores opportunities for green hydrogen and ammonia production in Azerbaijan

Azerbaijan’s Minister of Energy Parviz Shahbazov has met with Chief Executive Officer of Masdar Mohamed Jameel Al Ramahi on the sidelines of the World Climate Action Summit organized on the sidelines of the 28th Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change - COP28 in Dubai.

“Masdar, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) company is conducting market research on the production of "green" hydrogen and "green" ammonia in Azerbaijan,” Minister Shahbazov said, Report informs.

The minister noted that cooperation with Masdar on 10 GW renewable energy (RE) projects is of particular importance in realising the goals of developing green energy and reducing carbon emissions in Azerbaijan.
