According to him, the United States stands in solidarity with Azerbaijan in achieving the goal of complete demining of territories.
"Everyone knows that landmines laid here [in Karabakh] pose a threat to life and prosperity in the region. The US is committed to reducing these threats around the world. Since 1993, the US has invested $4.7bn in more than 100 countries. As part of these efforts, the US has provided nearly $38m to Azerbaijan for demining operations," Libby said.
The ambassador expressed his respect for the Azerbaijani deminers who have completed their training and will soon begin demining activities.
