Activist group claims hack, arson attack on Czech defence firm
A group calling itself the “Earthquake Faction” has claimed responsibility for an arson attack on the LPP Holding facility in Pardubice, Czech Republic, and has released documents it says were stolen from the company prior to the incident.
The group said its actions were carried out after LPP Holding allegedly failed to comply with an ultimatum demanding it end cooperation with Israeli defence company Elbit Systems, Caliber.Az reports per Czech media.
In a public statement, the group said it had taken what it described as classified materials from the facility before setting the building on fire. It claimed the company was given until the morning of April 20 to publicly distance itself from cooperation with Elbit Systems, but no response was issued.
“Before we set fire to the LPP Holding building in the Czech Republic, we took classified documents from the plant,” the statement said. The group also issued threats against individuals and entities linked to Elbit Systems.
Media reports indicate that the published materials include technical data and engineering blueprints.
Czech investigators have detained 10 people in connection with the arson case. Five suspects are being held in the Czech Republic, one woman in Slovakia pending extradition, three individuals in Poland, and one in Bulgaria.
The fire at the LPP Holding facility occurred on March 20, 2026, causing significant damage. Responsibility for the attack had previously been claimed by the Earthquake Faction, a group that says it opposes cooperation with Israel.
