Adverse weather in Uzbekistan's Samarkand forces Russian flight to divert
13 December 2025 09:46
An aircraft operated by the Russian airline Pobeda, flying on the Moscow–Samarkand route, made an unscheduled landing in Bukhara on the morning of December 13 due to adverse weather conditions at its destination.
According to a statement published on the Uzbekistan Airports Telegram channel, difficult meteorological conditions — specifically heavy fog at Samarkand Airport — prompted the crew of Pobeda flight PBD-997 to divert to the alternate airport in Bukhara.
The aircraft landed safely. Passengers and crew are currently waiting for visibility conditions to improve in order to continue the flight to Samarkand.
