Algeria, Slovenia renew gas export deal
Algerian National Oil and Gas Company Sonatrach has renewed the agreement to export natural gas to Slovenia.
The Algerian Foreign Ministry announced that Slovenian Foreign Minister Tanja Fajon, who is on an official working visit to the country, met with Algerian Foreign Minister Ramtane Lamamra, TRT Haber informs.
During the bilateral meeting, Lamamra and Fajon discussed the developing Algeria-Slovenian relations.
It was emphasized that the scope of the dynamic relations shaped between the two countries should be expanded to include new areas such as energy, mining, renewable energy, and digitalization.
The ministers also discussed various aspects of the Euro-Mediterranean partnership and the relations between Algeria and the European Union, as well as highlighted a wide range of current issues at the regional and international level.
After the bilateral meeting, Lamamra and Fajon attended the signing ceremony of the natural gas supply agreement between Sonatrach and the Slovenian Geoplin company.
Algerian Minister of Energy and Mining, Mohamed Arkab, and his Slovenian counterpart, Bojan Kumer, were also present at the signing ceremony.
