The AMAN-25 multinational naval exercise continues in Karachi (Pakistan) with the participation of a group of Azerbaijani Navy servicemen.
Underwater attack and defence groups of the Azerbaijani Navy demonstrated high professionalism in carrying out tasks on anti-terrorist operations in populated areas, seizure of ships in the open sea and disposal of unexploded shells and improvised explosive devices, Caliber.Az informs, citing the Ministry of Defence.
Azerbaijani naval special forces successfully complete all tasks set during the "AMAN-25" multinational exercise, which is held under the slogan "Together for Peace."
Let's note that the AMAN-25 naval exercise, held from February 7 to 11, 2025, in Karachi, Pakistan, is a biennial multinational event aimed at promoting maritime stability and enhancing collaborative capabilities among participating nations. This year's exercise, the ninth in the series, has seen unprecedented participation, with naval forces and special operations units from over 60 countries engaging in various drills and discussions.
The name "AMAN," which translates to "peace" in Urdu, underscores the core mission of these drills—to build trust and mutual respect among diverse nations through shared maritime training. In the past, notable participants have included naval forces from the United States, China, Russia, the United Kingdom, Iran, and various ASEAN member states.
The exercise includes two main phases: the Harbour Phase, where personnel engage in seminars, discussions, and cultural exchanges, and the Sea Phase, which involves live-action drills such as counter-terrorism operations, anti-piracy operations, search and rescue missions, and live firing exercises.
