Ankara calls airspace breach "unacceptable" in Iran talks
Foreign Minister of Türkiye Hakan Fidan held a phone conversation with his Iranian counterpart Abbas Araghchi to address recent concerns over the violation of Turkish airspace.
During the call, Fidan described any infringement of Türkiye’s airspace as unacceptable and stressed that Ankara will continue to take all necessary measures to prevent similar incidents in the future, Caliber.Az reports, citing Turkish media.
He also urged all parties to refrain from actions that could undermine regional security or pose risks to civilians.
Araghchi responded by asserting that the missiles targeting Turkish airspace were not launched from Iranian territory. He added that a thorough investigation into the incident will be conducted to clarify the circumstances.
