Apple to send delegation to Armenia to explore tech collaboration
Apple is set to dispatch a delegation to Armenia to discuss potential areas of cooperation, Armenian diplomatic sources have confirmed.
The announcement came during a meeting between Armenia’s ambassador to the United States, Narek Mkrtchyan, and Apple’s Senior Director of International Relations, Jason Lundgard, Caliber.Az reports per Georgian media.
Mkrtchyan recently visited Apple’s headquarters in Cupertino, California, where he shared details of a memorandum of understanding signed in Washington on August 8. The agreement between Armenia and the United States focuses on innovative collaboration in artificial intelligence and semiconductor technologies.
The ambassador also visited Google’s San Francisco headquarters, meeting with Head of AI Strategy, Grach Achadjian. Discussions centred on potential collaboration in AI and emerging technologies, with particular emphasis on digitising Armenia’s cultural heritage through Google Arts & Culture.
