Armenia approves signing of Board of Peace for Gaza charter
22 January 2026 14:03
The Armenian government has approved a proposal to formally sign the charter of the Board of Peace on Gaza, a US-backed initiative aimed at promoting stability in the region.
The decision, published on the government’s website, cites Article 7 of the Law “On International Treaties” and instructs Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan to organise the signing, Caliber.Az reports via TASS.
The approval comes after Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan had previously agreed to join the Gaza Board of Peace as one of its founding members.
On the night of 22 January, Pashinyan traveled to Davos to participate in the signing ceremony.
