Armenia confirms second shipment of Azerbaijani petroleum products
The Armenian Ministry of Economy has confirmed reports from Azerbaijani media regarding the import of a second shipment of petroleum products from Azerbaijan into Armenia.
According to Caliber.Az, responding to an Armenpress inquiry, the ministry’s spokesperson, Lilit Shaboyan, verified the information circulated by Azerbaijani outlets but did not provide any additional details.
On January 7, Azerbaijani media reported that Baku would send a larger consignment of petroleum products to Armenia on January 8. The shipment was said to include 1,000 tons of A-92 gasoline, another 1,000 tons of diesel fuel, and 1,800 tons of A-95 gasoline.
The first import of Azerbaijani petroleum products into Armenia took place at the end of 2025. On December 19, a train carrying Azerbaijani A-95 gasoline arrived at the Ayrum railway station after transiting through Georgia. The train consisted of 22 wagons transporting 1,218 tons of A-95 gasoline.
