Armenia denies reports that apricot shipment to Spain spoiled in transit

Armenia’s Ministry of Economy has rejected reports that a shipment of Armenian apricots spoiled while being transported to Spain, saying no such exports have taken place.

Arman Khojoyan, deputy head of the ministry, said on social media that claims circulating online about spoiled Armenian apricots sent to Spain were inaccurate, Caliber.Az reports via Armenian media. 

“The entire internet is discussing how apricots sent to Spain spoiled along the way. No apricots have been exported from Armenia to Spain yet,” Khojoyan wrote.

Earlier, Armenian media reported that a shipment of apricots exported from Armenia to Spain has spoiled during transportation, resulting in substantial losses.
