FM: Armenia ready to develop new ambitious initiatives with India

26 January 2026 12:40

Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan has expressed his country's readiness to develop new ambitious initiatives with India in a congratulatory post on X addressed to India’s External Affairs Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar.

"I extend my warmest congratulations to Dr Jaishankar & friendly people of India on the occasion of the Republic Day," Caliber.Az cites Mirzoyan as saying in the post.

He added: “Armenia stands ready to advance ambitious new initiatives across all areas with India and raise our relations to new heights."

Separately, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan also sent a message to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, emphasising the importance of continued cooperation in a rapidly changing global landscape.

Pashinyan noted that mutually beneficial and multi-sectoral cooperation between the two countries continues to deepen and expand, and expressed confidence that joint efforts would elevate political dialogue and collaboration for the benefit of both nations.

India celebrates Republic Day on January 26 each year, marking the adoption of its Constitution and commemorating the country’s democratic values and governance.
