Armenia hits record-breaking tourist numbers in first quarter of 2026

Armenia saw a record number of visitors in the first quarter of 2026, Armenian Economy Minister Gevorg Papoyan announced.

He said 453,138 tourists visited Armenia in the first three months of this year, Caliber.Az reports via Armenian media.

“This is 18.2 percent or more than 70 thousand tourists more than the figure for the same period last year,” Papoyan noted.

The minister described the figures as an exceptional achievement for the tourism sector, marking a new record in Armenia’s tourism history and signalling the country’s return as a major attraction for travellers.
