Armenia, India discuss cooperation in defence sector
On August 30, Armenian Defence Minister Suren Papikyan received a delegation from the National Defence College of India. The delegation was accompanied by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of India to the Republic of Armenia Nilakshi Saha Sinha.
"The Defence Minister welcomed the Commander of the National Defence College of India, Lieutenant General Sukriti Singh Dahiya and the trainees representing India and other partner countries," the Armenian Defence Ministry said in a statement, Caliber.Az reports.
"Suren Papikyan highly appreciated the initiative of visiting Armenia, considering the current course of development of Armenian-Indian defence relations.
During the meeting, the Defence Minister presented the ongoing reforms in the army, the progress and prospects of the Armenian-Indian cooperation in the defence sector, as well as answered the questions of the members of the National Defence College delegation regarding the above-mentioned spheres and regional security," the statement says.
