Armenia, Netherlands mull bilateral relations, Baku-Yerevan peace treaty
Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan has met with his Dutch counterpart Hanke Bruins Slot to discuss a wide range of issues, including the ongoing peace treaty negotiations between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
According to Armenian media sources, the ministers emphasized the success of their joint efforts and active political dialogue in establishing a broad bilateral agenda, Caliber.Az reports.
They explored ways to deepen their cooperation, both bilaterally and within the European Union. A key topic was the potential initiation of dialogue on visa liberalization to enhance bilateral relations.
Mirzoyan highlighted Armenia's commitment to democratic reforms and strengthening its partnership with the EU, expressing gratitude for the Netherlands' consistent support.
The discussion also covered regional issues, particularly the peace process between Armenia and Azerbaijan. Mirzoyan outlined Armenia's position on the ongoing negotiations following the May 10-11 talks in Almaty. He emphasized the importance of mutual recognition of territorial integrity and the delimitation process based on the Alma-Ata Declaration of 1991 to ensure clarity in the peace treaty negotiations.
