Armenia not ally of Russia on Ukraine, PM says
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has stated that his country is not Russia’s ally on the issue of Ukraine.
During a government briefing, he said Armenia has sent humanitarian assistance to Ukraine, Caliber.Az reports, citing Armenian media.
The PM also said the Alma-Ata Declaration is of fundamental importance for Armenia, noting that Yerevan also bases its peace process with Azerbaijan on this document.
“You know how important and fundamental the Alma-Ata Declaration is for us, and we rely on this declaration and build peace with Azerbaijan on this basis. This is our principled position,” Pashinyan noted.
It is worth noting that Volodymyr Zelenskyy was in Yerevan on May 4 for the 8th European Political Community summit.
