Armenia and Palestine have officially announced the establishment of diplomatic relations, marking a significant development in their bilateral ties.
The communiqué was signed by Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York, Caliber.Az reports via Armenian media.
During their meeting, Mirzoyan and Mustafa exchanged views on the current situation in the region, discussing key issues that affect both Armenia and Palestine.
It’s important to note that Armenia formally recognized the state of Palestine in June and has actively voted in favour of expanding Palestinian rights at the United Nations.
Yerevan has consistently articulated its position on the Palestinian issue, emphasizing its support for a peaceful and comprehensive solution to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, with a strong advocacy for the two-state solution.
