Armenia rolls out $2.6 million budget for hosting European Political Community Summit
The Office of the Prime Minister of Armenia has allocated one billion drams ($2.60 million) in the 2026 state budget to host the 8th European Political Community Summit (EPC) in Yerevan, officials confirmed.
The announcement was made by Arayik Harutyunyan, Chief of Staff of the Prime Minister’s Office, during preliminary discussions on the draft budget at a joint session of parliamentary standing committees, Caliber.Az reports, citing Armenian media.
“Next year, the hosting of the 8th Summit of the European Political Community is planned according to the budget, with around 50 delegations from Europe expected to arrive in Armenia,” Harutyunyan said.
“The Prime Minister’s Office budget has allocated 1 billion drams. A tender has now been announced. There are also funds set aside in the reserve, and depending on the results of the tender, we will allocate additional funds if necessary,” he added.
The 8th European Political Community Summit is scheduled to be held on 4 May 2026 in Yerevan, Armenia. The EPC is an intergovernmental forum for political and strategic discussions about the future of Europe.
