Armenia’s Defence Ministry takes stock of 2025, honours best-performing units
On December 26, a collegium meeting under the Minister of Defence was held to review the results of 2025, Armenia’s Defence Minister Suren Papikyan said in a Facebook post.
Papikyan reported that the meeting opened with the performance of the state anthem and the anthem of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia, after which he delivered an address, Caliber.Az reports.
The First Deputy Minister of Defence and Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Eduard Asryan, then presented a detailed report outlining the work carried out across all areas and the tasks ahead.
During the meeting, participants discussed the results related to the combat readiness, training, and command and control of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia. Issues concerning the moral and psychological condition of personnel were also reviewed, along with priority objectives set for 2026.
Papikyan said he issued a series of instructions to the heads of relevant departments aimed at strengthening the defence capability of the Armed Forces and improving the effectiveness of the service organisation.
The meeting concluded with the presentation of commemorative flags, certificates, and souvenirs to unit commanders who demonstrated the best performance in 2025.
