Armenia сhallenges Russian claims over dairy safety

Armenia’s food safety authority has rejected concerns raised by Russia’s agricultural watchdog, saying a joint inspection of dairy producers found no evidence of unsafe raw materials, even as Moscow moves to restrict imports.

The inspection, conducted between July 14 and 21 by specialists from Rosselkhoznadzor and Armenia’s Food Safety Inspection Body, covered four dairy enterprises, Caliber.Az reports, citing Armenian media.

According to the Armenian side, the review found no use of milk from sick animals or raw materials sourced from third countries. Officials added that documentation submitted by the inspected companies showed all inputs had undergone required laboratory testing and were deemed safe.

Despite these findings, Yerevan said Russia has yet to provide official inspection results, even after deciding to impose restrictions on imports of Armenian dairy products.
