Armenia still hides names of servicemen killed in recent border clashes
The Armenian government still refuses to release the names of the soldiers killed in the recent border clashes with Azerbaijan.
Armenian Defence Ministry has so far evaded clarifying the data on the losses of the army, although several days have passed since the end of the clashes on the border with Azerbaijan on September 14.
Speaking at a government meeting, Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said that 135 servicemen had died in the recent clashes, but information about the wounded and missing is yet to be announced, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Armenian media.
The Armenian authorities say they are clarifying the losses. At the same time, the names and surnames of the killed Armenian servicemen are not published at the state level.
On September 19, relatives of the victims of the 44-day war of 2020 initiated a flash mob on social networks, demanding to disclose the names of the victims.
The relatives of the victims call on all citizens of Armenia to join this demand.
Unlike Armenia, Azerbaijan Defence Ministry immediately published the list of soldiers who became martyrs while suppressing Armenian provocations.
