Armenia stops criminal prosecution of former president

The criminal prosecution of ex-President of Armenia Robert Kocharyan has been discontinued.

Caliber.Az reports, citing the Armenian media.

The decision was issued by the Yerevan Court of General Jurisdiction, chaired by Judge Anna Danibekyan.

Kocharyan was accused of receiving a bribe of $3 million from businesswoman Silva Ambartsumyan; the statute of limitations in this case expired in May.
