Armenia summons Russian ambassador over footage on Zangezur corridor
Russian Ambassador to Armenia Sergey Kopyrkin has been summoned to the Armenian Foreign Ministry, where he was presented with a formal protest note.
The Armenian Foreign Ministry stated that the decision was prompted by footage on the “Vesti Nedeli” programme aired by All-Russia State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company, Caliber.Az reports, citing Armenian media.
Armenian officials expressed concerns that the report allegedly contained artificially generated narratives aimed at undermining the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Armenia.
The Zangezur Corridor was discussed during the programme.
On January 12, Dmitry Kiselev’s final programme featured a report on the Armenia-Azerbaijan relations, the opening of regional communications, and the Armenian government's decision to support the EU accession process.
