Armenian, Azerbaijani, Russian parliament speakers holds brief talks in Istanbul

Armenian National Assembly Speaker Alen Simonyan held brief conversations with senior parliamentary officials from Russia and Azerbaijan during a forum in Istanbul, according to the Armenian parliament press service.

Simonyan spoke with Valentina Matvienko, Chairwoman of the Federation Council of Russia, on the sidelines of the 152nd Inter-Parliamentary Union Forum, Caliber.Az reports.

He also held a brief exchange with Sahiba Gafarova, the speaker of Azerbaijan’s parliament.

The discussions took place informally during the international gathering, which brings together parliamentary leaders from around the world.
