Armenian citizen threatens to blow up police department

An Armenian man has threatened to blow up a police department in Ashtarak.

At 22:25 on August 21, the man who called the police said if his friend was not released in 10 minutes, he would blow up the police department, Caliber.Az reports citing the Armenian media.

A few minutes later, law enforcement officers identified the man and his location.

After 25 minutes, a 42-year-old citizen was found and taken to the police.

Criminal proceedings have been initiated. An investigation is underway.
