Armenian foreign minister on normalizing ties between Yerevan and Ankara
The process of normalizing relations between Armenia and Türkiye is very important for Yerevan.
Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan told the November 3 parliamentary discussions of the draft budget for 2024, Caliber.Az reports with reference to the Armenian media.
“He recalled that in Tehran he met with the Turkish foreign minister, earlier there was a meeting with the ex-minister, there are special representatives of Armenia and Turkey.
The process is unfolding and talks are underway for normalizing Armenian-Turkish relations. I would like to express optimism by saying that, at least, in part of our agreement on the opening of the Armenia-Turkey interstate land border for now for a special group of persons - citizens of Armenia and Turkey holding diplomatic passports, and citizens of third countries - perhaps in the near future, there will be good news,” Mirzoyan said.
Armenia is keen on settling relations with its four neighbors,” the report says, citing the minister.
