Armenian police detain Indian citizens over brutal home attack PHOTO
Armenian police have arrested three Indian nationals in connection with a violent home invasion in the capital city, following a complaint filed by a fellow Indian citizen.
Thus, 25-year-old Manpreet Singh approached the Kanaker-Zeytun police department on April 12 to report a serious crime, Caliber.Az reports via Armenian media.
Singh stated that around 2:45 a.m. (GMT+4), four Indian nationals forcibly entered his home, threatened him and his wife with weapons, and stole 100,000 Armenian drams and two mobile phones.
The assailants reportedly attempted to sexually assault Singh’s wife and physically assaulted both victims using a belt and a metal rod. Singh sustained injuries, and both he and his wife were left traumatised by the incident. Following the report, Armenian authorities identified the suspects as Makbool Masih, 32, Alisha Masih, 31, and Balwa Masih, 20—all Indian citizens. The suspects were located and detained in the city of Artik, in northwestern Armenia.
