Armenian official sues Pashinyan in attempt to avoid military service
A former assistant chief of staff to Armenia's prime minister has filed a lawsuit against the government in an administrative court.
Caliber.Az reports citing the Armenian newspaper "Hraparak" that former Assistant Chief of Staff of the Prime Minister's Office Tigran Mugnetsyan filed a lawsuit against the government in administrative court. He was appointed assistant to the prime minister's chief of staff immediately after the change of power, and at that time was the youngest employee of the newly created government - he was born in 1996 and was 22 years old.
"In the lawsuit filed with the administrative court, Mugnetsyan demands that the court oblige the government to adopt an administrative act to exempt him from compulsory military service as an ordinary serviceman, with the Armenian Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport involved as a third party," the newspaper writes.
