Turkish FM to visit Qatar for talks on regional matters

Türkiye’s Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan will pay an official visit to Qatar on August 13–14.

During talks with the Qatari side, discussions are planned on strengthening the strategic partnership, regional issues, as announced by the Turkish Foreign Ministry, Caliber.Az reports, citing Turkish media.

The meeting will also include talks on preparations for the upcoming 11th meeting of the Supreme Strategic Committee, which will be held in Doha under the chairmanship of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Qatari Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.

Particular attention is expected to be given to coordinating efforts to resolve the situation in the Gaza Strip.

In addition, the ministers will discuss joint projects to ensure stability in Syria, as well as “measures to prevent interference by external actors, including Israel, in the country’s stabilisation process.”
