Media: Klopp agrees to take charge of German national football team
German coaching icon and former Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp is set to become the new head coach of the Germany national football team, journalist and transfer insider Fabrizio Romano announced in a post on X.
According to him, Klopp has already agreed to take the position, although the final details of his contract still need to be finalized. He is expected to lead Germany through both the 2028 UEFA European Championship and the 2030 FIFA World Cup.

However, Klopp and the German Football Association must first reach an agreement with Red Bull, where he currently serves as head of football operations.
Klopp has won 13 major trophies during his coaching career. His greatest successes came with Borussia Dortmund and Liverpool FC. He has never previously managed a national team.
On July 3, Julian Nagelsmann officially stepped down as Germany’s head coach following the team’s early exit from the World Cup. Germany was eliminated by Paraguay national football team in the Round of 32.
