Russia says it shot down 613 drones in overnight Ukrainian attack

Russia's Defence Ministry said Ukraine launched a large-scale overnight drone attack targeting Russian territory, claiming that air defence systems intercepted the vast majority of the aircraft.

In a statement, the ministry said Ukraine deployed 625 long-range strike drones during the night of 5–6 July, targeting locations outside the conflict area, Caliber.Az reports. 

According to the ministry, Russian air defences destroyed 613 of the drones over multiple regions of the country.
