Rosatom plans gradual return of specialists to Iran's Bushehr nuclear power plant
Russia's state nuclear corporation, Rosatom, plans to begin sending specialists back to Iran's Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant from mid-July if security conditions in the area remain stable, the company's chief executive said on July 6.
Speaking to reporters in Yekaterinburg on the sidelines of the Innoprom industrial exhibition, Rosatom Director General Alexey Likhachev said the situation around the nuclear facility is currently calm, Caliber.Az reports per Russian media.
"The situation at the Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant is currently calm. Therefore, if it does not change, we will begin restoring staff levels starting in mid-July," Likhachev said.
He added that the timetable and procedures for the return of Russian specialists have been coordinated with relevant law enforcement authorities.
